Once a movie has been made it needs to go to a distribution company in order for it to be seen. The Distribution company is in charge of creating hype for the new film and also getting it into the cinemas.
You will often find that distribution companies have images of either the sky or the world in order to show that they will reach around the globe and everyone will see this film.

Warner Bro'sWarner Bros. Pictures is another example of a production company set in the sky. The Sky is seen by all, and so gives the message that all will see this film. It starts with an old fashioned clip of an old row of factories, before transforming into the WB symbol. This symbolises that they have been around for a long, time and because of that you automatically trust that the films they produce will be good. Finally they use the colour gold which is associated with quality. Warner Bros is an American film, television and music production company, founded on the 4th of April 1923. Its founders are Sam Warner, Albert Warner, Harry Warner and Jack Warner, hence 'Warner Bros. pictures'. DreamWorksDreamworks, uses two key ideas in their animation. They start off with using water, which is very easy to find due to 70% of the planet being covered i it. Then it pans up to the sky. The use of two items that can be seen almost everywhere, optimises their target audience and message of widespread. Dreamworks also does something unique with their music. Whenever they have produced/distributed a film they change the music in order to better fir the genre. Sometimes they even make the animation darker so that the clouds look as if they will rain. DreamWorks, is an American film production company which produces and develops films, television programming, and video games. It was also a former film distributor for its own and third-party films.

LionsgateLIONSGATE uses the sky in order to show unity in the world as they can all see the sky. This unity shows worldwide distribution. It also used shots of the locking mechanic of a door before it opens in the sky, almost like the doors to heaven. This sends the message that it will be a good product. Lionsgate Entertainment Corporation was formed in 1997 by Frank Giustra and Avi Federgreen with a $16 million investment including another $40 million from other investors. The company was formed on July 3, 1997. It is a Canadian-American entertainment company which has helped with a number of amazing movies. The horror films its distributed include Texas Chainsaw (2013), Saw and American Psycho (2000).

We have decided to use a moon in our distribution company because it leaves the message that our product will be like the moon; seen by all. This is similar to Dreamworks Productions, which also uses a moon to highlight its global distributive services. We decided to go for a moon as our movie has no aspects of the outer galaxy, and so we wanted it to be grounded and realistic from the start. We also felt that as the moon is seen by all, it would mean that people would think that the horror idea of Amara could happen to anyone. For this reason we couldn't use any images of the Earth or of the universe. We used wind chimes because it is a soothing simple sound and the music research shows that simple music is more effective. It also sounds a little bit creepy and we found that Dreamworks, actually changes its backing music for each different movie. With this in mind we thought that it would be effective if we used a piece of music that would be at home in a Horror film. The idea of the moon cracking, was meant to represent it bursting as if it cannot contain any more content. We also found that the colouring of the distribution company is changed within some other companies in order to fit with the genre. For this reason we decided to darken the background slightly.
If we had the oppertunity to have the backijng of one of the distribution companies, we would pick dreamworks. Dreamworks has not been a film distribution company for years, opting instead to produce their films. To come back into that world for our OTS would send the message that it is an amazing product. Also we liked the way that they changed the backing track, or colour of the animation, in order to hint at the genre.
If we couldn't have Dreamworks, we would use Lionsgate. When you think of WB people tend to think of jokey animation type movies. This is the opposite of what we wanted and so we would of used Lionsgate. Lionsgate is a well respected product, that would surly help our final product to sell.
